Seven decades of
building mid-America.
McIntyre Brothers began operations as a family-owned business in 1954 in Bedford, Indiana. For more than 70 years, we’ve grown our capacity and capability to handle challenging, large-scale projects by listening carefully and intelligently to our customers’ requirements and delivering with accuracy and quality. Today our headquarters remain in Bedford, but our scope of operations has grown to comprise concurrent projects throughout the quad-state area surrounding the Wabash and Ohio River valleys.
While we specialize in below-grade and civil work for public utility substation construction, we’re equally at home serving blue-chip customers such as the U.S. Armed Forces, GM and municipalities throughout the region with the expertise, crews and equipment to sole source 95 percent of projects.

A foundation of excellence.
Our 70-year roots as a family-owned business continue today under the next generation of leadership. Now a woman-owned enterprise, McIntyre Brothers continues to expand our scope of operations, with multiple concurrent projects under management worth millions of dollars. Our strategic plans include aggressive growth and capital investment strategies to leverage our strengths and confidently meet and exceed the future demands and expectations of our customers.
